Central Ohio Optometric Association
Message from the Governor
Happy 2012!
I want to say hello again to all of the friends that I have made in optometry and introduce myself to those of you who do not know me. My name is Bradley Johnson, and I will be serving as the Governor of Zone 12 this year. I grew up in Columbus, went to Ohio State for undergrad, graduated from The Ohio State College of Optometry in 2008, and now practice at Professional Vision Care in Westerville, OH. I'm a lifelong Buckeye and absolutely love Central Ohio.
The great thing about becoming Governor of Zone 12 is that I am inheriting the best Zone in the country (I'm perhaps a little biased). We are able to claim The College of Optometry, many great leaders who have stepped up and led our profession to wonderful things, and have access to the OOA offices. My goal this year is to build upon this success while initiating a few new projects that I hope everyone will enjoy while making our Zone even stronger.
Our first meeting will be January 31st, 2012 at Brio and will include 2 hours of CE as Dr. Karla Zadnik presents the RealEyes program geared towards middle-schoolers. Fee for members is $20, and remember that if you pay for all 4 meetings that night you will get one free ($60 gets you admission to this meeting, Residents' Night, Student Night, and President's Night). An email will be sent shortly with all of those details so please keep an eye out for it. We hope to have the dates of our other meeting up shortly and as always we encourage you to be as active as possible!
I am always available by email, Bradleyosu@gmail.com (I told you I was a lifelong Buckeye), so please never hesitate to send me any questions or comments. Thanks in advance for helping me establish what I know will be a great year!
Sincerely,
Bradley J. Johnson
Zone 12, Governor
